Shine
Festival of Light

6th and 7th May 2022

SHINE 2021 is a discovery focused light festival. After dark on festival nights, sites along Molesworth St and it’s laneways will be transformed by contemporary light works.

Audiences can expect the unexpected as a program of artists present bold new works ranging from small surprises, large scale projections, the telling of untold stories and immersive light installations that will reframe the Lismore CBD.

SHINE will be a platform for artists to produce a new experimental public work and for local and visiting audiences to experience high quality work being produced in the region.

SHINE is part of the Lismore City Council’s plan to reinvigorate Lismore.

The Festival’s program includes light installations, large-scale projection mapping, shadow puppetry, interactive technology, and video works with the festival supporting and showcasing Lismore’s unique artists, both emerging and established.

All the featured artists come from the Northern Rivers, predominately from Lismore. They are Kellie O’Dempsey and Mick Dick, Kit Webster, Marion Conrow, Michael Rogowski, Karenza Ebejer, Roger Foley Fogg, Holly Ahern and Eden Crawford-Harriman, Christine Spedding and Leigh Arnold, Colleen Coy, Dan McDonnell, Real Artworks Inc, Michael Donnelly and Maggie Schreiber. More artists will be announced soon.
