Michael Rogowski

Michael Rogowski is a 60 something digital multi-media artist living in Lismore. He made the sea/tree-change to Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers in 1992, having worked in film and design in both Sydney & Melbourne. He has been a dancer, a restaurateur and furniture designer. He has pursued a number of courses online and attended both the Northern Rivers Conservatorium and North Coast TAFE.

The academic journey lead to greater insight into the digital realm, including creating generative art, making music, and exploring architectural video projection mapping techniques.

He currently attends North Coast TAFE, Lismore campus completing the Diploma in Screen & Media. His love of colour and form has been the centrepiece of most of his artistic creations and reflects his admiration for the software now available. He has worked extensively with Tropical Fruits doing projection art, poster design and theming ideas at many of their parties and several projection installations for the Lismore Lantern Parade.

Michaels' fascination with colours, mathematics and numerology has informed his newest work "13 Moons" that will be installed as part of The Shine Festival 2021, in which the Old Lismore Post Office will be transformed by artful projections exploring the Mayan dream moon calendar, it's time and measurements. 13:20 Time is Art.
