Lismore has scored a major win, confirmed as a host for the NSW Open Golf Regional Qualifying Series in both 2025 and 2026 — cementing its place on the map for major regional sporting events.

The 36-hole tournament, includes an 18-hole pro-am and two days of competitive play. It forms part of a six-event series across NSW feeding into the 2025 FORD NSW Open Championship.

Each qualifier offers a AUD50,000 purse for professionals, with the top three finishers — professional or amateur — earning a spot in the NSW Open this November. The series kicks off at Teven Valley Golf Club near Ballina and concludes in September at Queanbeyan.

Lismore’s event is expected to attract top-tier talent from Australia and overseas.

Known for its quality course and strong community support, Lismore Workers Golf Club is well-prepared to host a tournament of this scale.

Backed by Lismore City Council, Destination NSW and Golf NSW, the event further strengthens the city’s growing reputation as a premier destination for high-profile events.

Professional entries are managed by the PGA of Australia, while amateur entry is based on GA handicap and submitted online.
