Physical Explorations of Sustained Defiance Workshop

Facilitated by award-winning circus artists Bridie Hooper and Billie Wilson-Coffey, this physical workshop investigates how concepts of defiance, resistance, care and support can be expressed through the body. Together, participants explore ways in which to find strength as individuals and as collective beings.

Using ground-based movements and introductory duo circus techniques, there will be focus on connection, resistance, and shared weight.

This workshop is part of NORPA’s Dinner Party at the End of the World creative development program.

Suitable for ages 18+.

This workshop is open to people with an existing physical practice (eg dance, circus, physical theatre, martial arts, etc). No circus experience necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to move.
