Enter the mind’s eye of Bub, an 11-year-old girl who’s obsessed with documentary filmmaking. In the aftermath of a family breakdown, she turns to dramatised re-enactments to try to figure out what happened.

At every performance, two unrehearsed adult actors join a young performer onstage. Guided by Bub, they discover her story alongside the audience as they re-enact her experiences in real time. Together, they navigate difficult questions about parenting, agency, mental health and how we speak to children.

Bub is determined to understand her mum’s erratic behaviour. Can these two unsuspecting adults answer the tough questions of a child?

POV is re:group performance collective’s playful, urgent documentary made live before your eyes. Personal history collides with performance and every night is shaped by real human connection.

Be among the first to experience The Joinery, NORPA’s new creative space, as POV becomes the first public performance presented in the venue.
